Privacy Policy

How the VARO Ad Network handles data when ads are served.

What this covers

This policy describes the VARO Ad Network ad-serving service (ads.varo.industries), which displays banner advertisements on participating VARO properties and partner sites.

What we collect when an ad is served

To deliver ads and measure performance, we record for each ad view and click:

  • The site and ad slot, the creative and campaign shown, and a timestamp.
  • A one-way hashed (HMAC) form of your IP address and user-agent — we do not store the raw values.
  • Coarse country, where available, derived at request time.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or precise location, and we do not build cross-site advertising profiles.

Cookies & local storage

Ad creatives are rendered inside a sandboxed iframe served from our own domain. We may set a first-party frequency-capping identifier so the same ad is not shown too often. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

How the data is used

  • To choose which ad to show and to rotate inventory fairly.
  • To count impressions and clicks for reporting and billing.
  • To detect and reduce invalid or fraudulent traffic.

Sharing

Aggregate, non-identifying performance metrics (impressions, clicks, CTR) are shared with the relevant advertiser and publisher. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Raw event logs are retained for a limited period for fraud analysis and reconciliation; aggregated daily statistics are retained for historical reporting.

Your choices

You can block ads with standard browser controls and extensions. Because creatives load in a sandboxed iframe, they cannot run code on the host page.
